INTERPRETING OBSTACLES

Isaiah 45:2 KJV [2] I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: Every road to the future is laced with obstacles. Everyone will be faced with crooked places at one point or the other in life. The interpretation you give to the obstacle/crooked place determines your decision and your destination. You can see it as a hinderance or an opportunity/a stepping stone. Interpreting wrongly will make you back out. When you understand the plan of God and the fact that He’s working with you and on you, you will interpret correctly.  Jeremiah 29:11 KJV [11] For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. You will see an opportunity for greatness and gladly take up the task by forging ahead. For flour to appear in the palace, it has to go through the oven. The oven experience is not a comfortable one. It is something every

YOUR TIME OF FAVOUR

Psalm 102:13 KJV [13] Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Everything in life is about timing. God has a time for everything He has created. A time to be born, a time to die. There is also a time to experience favour.  What is favour? Favour can be said to be exceptional kindness and privi-lege from God. It is overgenerous preferential treatment. It can also be referred to as an act of kindness beyond what is due or usual. It is not earned or worked for. It is not by grade, it is by grace. It is at God’s discretion and He’s willing to give His children for Jesus sake. David said who is left in the house of Saul that I may show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake. If a man can go to that extent to honour covenant despite what King Saul, Jonathan’s father did to him, how will God in His infinite mercy not go the extra mile to do much more for the sak

CELEBRATING TRUE LOVE

John 3:16 KJV [16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The world looks forward to celebrating valentine, the love of man but we choose to celebrate the love of God which had been extended to us even when we didn’t know Him. The love of God is not earned, it is given to us willingly and freely. No matter what we do, it does not fade and it is not withdrawn. Have you wondered why two people who claim to be in love suddenly fall out of love? That love is not rooted in God. It takes root in the flesh. True love that is rooted in God has the following qualities; Love is patient  Love is kind.  Love does not envy  Love does not boast Love is not proud. Love does not dishonor others Love is not self-seeking Love is not easily angered Love keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil Love rejoices with the truth. Love always protects Love always trusts  Love always hopes Love a

OVERCOMING DISTRACTION 1

What is distraction? Distraction is the process of diverting the attention of an individual or group from a desired area of focus and thereby blocking or diminishing the reception of desired information. There are so many things competing for our attention in life. Some divert attention from the major thing to the minor or irrelevant so as to stop or block what you set out to achieve. You must be discerning to know what to allow and what to disallow.  Your destination or goal is a major factor in determining what you should accommodate and what you should discard. If you don’t know where you are going, everywhere will be your bus stop. Elisha knew what he wanted. A double portion of Elijah’s anointing. Elijah told him it was a difficult thing he asked for. As difficult as it was, the possibility was obvious. Elisha was determined to get it. Based on Elijah’s response to him, it was dependent on him to actualize his desire. It is mostly dependent on us through persistence to get what we
