DIG OUT THE GOLD IN YOU

Image
Job 8:7 KJV [7] Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase. When you see a butterfly, you admire it’s beauty. It undergoes a change process which can not be skipped or avoided to become what it is. Change can be painful but it is necessary for growth. Everyone must undergo changes in life. Unforeseen twists and turns happen in life. We all encounter different obstacles, it is our response to these challenges that changes us. Change process may not be easy as it will test your level of endurance and patience, and how well you are able to deal with stress and frustration. Know what to feed on physically,    spiritually and mentally. It’s not everything that is good for you. As you take in new things, there are some old things you need to do away with so that they don’t limit or hinder you. As you begin this process it may look like nothing is happening. Keep at it. A lot happens behind the scene. On the outside, you may look the same, but on the inside, am

GOD GOES WITH YOU

Joshua 1:9 KJV [9] Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Moses told Joshua not to be afraid for the Lord his God is with him anywhere he goes. I am telling you the same today. The Lord says in Matthew 28:20 that He is with you always, even unto the end of the world. He did not say sometimes but always. In good times and bad times, He’ll be on your side. You need to settle this truth in your heart. The Lord told Moses that He has seen the affliction of His people in Egypt and heard their cry. And He is come down to deliver them. He said He will send Moses to Pharaoh that he may bring the children of Israel out of Egypt. In verse 12 of Ex 3, He said, Certainly I will be with you. Certainly means surely, assuredly, definitely, undisputedly, the Lord is with you. You are not alone at any time. He’s the God that sends on errand and goes with you. The Lord says when you

RECALLING GOD’S FAITHFULNESS

Psalm 103:2 KJV [2] Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Looking back helps you to see how much ground you have covered. When you think deeply, you will know that it wasn’t by your power. You will realize that the awesome power of God has always been present even when you didn’t know or acknowledge it. We take so many things for granted. The psalmist says you should not forget all of God’s benefits in your life. Recognizing the hand of God and appreciating it is an attitude you should develop. If God showed up before and helped you out, don’t you think He can do it again or do much more? Remembering God’s benefits in the face of challenges and not only when all is going well, will strengthen you and help you to overcome any adversity. It helps to see the faithfulness of God and to rest in it, having an assurance that He has not brought you this far to leave you. The challenges may not go immediately, His grace will be sufficient to carry you through. Gratitude

MEN PLEASERS

Image
Galatians 1:10 KJV [10] For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. The Lord through His servant, Samuel told king Saul to go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not. But Saul didn’t obey the instruction to the letter. He said because he feared the people, and obeyed their voice. People expect so much from us without really knowing our capabilities and God’s plan for our lives. This can bring pressure if you are one that likes to please people. People’s expectations can sometimes be unrealistic and selfish, thereby making you bite more than you can chew. Saul lost the throne. The approval of men is not equal to the approval of God. It’s important to know God’s will, be committed to it and pursue it. Don’t allow people to impose their will on you because you may not have the ability to discern their agenda and you will face the repercussion alone. You can’t meet every
