THE DILIGENT (2)

Image
Proverbs 12:24 KJV [24] The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute. A diligent person is thorough, careful and meticulous. God blesses what the diligent does and gives him an advantage, irrespective of the role he occupies, whether a cleaner or a director. David was a diligent shepherd boy who gave his best discharging his assignment. The qualities he possessed as a shepherd boy was what he exhibited as a king when his promotion came. He paid attention to everything and did his work faithfully. He didn’t take anything for granted. He didn’t overlook the bear and the lion that took a lamb out of the flock. He went after them and delivered it out their mouth and slew both the lion and the bear. He could overlook it and say what is one among many or choose not to risk his life. Diligence is leaving things better than we met them. It is disciplining ourselves to be steadfast in doing things right when no one is watching. It is going above and beyond w

THE DILIGENT (1)

Proverbs 22:29 KJV [29] Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. Diligence is having or showing care and conscientiousness in one’s work or duties. Diligence is what God requires from us in our work with Him, our homes, businesses, careers and every aspect of our lives. God told Adam to till the ground. He gives everyone an assignment and expects us to deliver using the gifts and talents given to us. The parable of talents shows that we are to use of our gifts to make profit for our Master and not make excuses. Noah, Joseph and Daniel are examples of those who were diligent and their diligence brought them to the place of promotion. This is because the hand of the diligent will always bear rule. These men were in constant communion with God. Problem starts when we remove the God factor from whatever we are doing. Whatever we do without Him becomes busyness and not business. As we show care and consciousness in our work,

BE STILL

Image
Psalm 46:10-11 KJV [10] Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. [11] The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. There are so many things in our lives that requires God’s intervention, but we try to handle them by ourselves. We fight    battles and grow weary. When we involve God in our affairs, He takes charge and men will see that indeed the tabernacle of God is with men. We are not fashioned to operate without God. By strength shall no man prevail. It is not of him that wills or of him that runs but of God that shows mercy. The Psalmist in the above chapter acknowledges God as a very present help in trouble. So there is nothing to fear in the midst of chaos or raging storm . He says in verse 9  [9] He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. God will make every war in your lives, homes, businesses/car

TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR THOUGHT (4)

Philippians 4:8 KJV [8] Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.   This article will wrap up the topic taking charge of our thoughts. In previous articles, we have been able to establish that thoughts are powerful as they determine our decisions, words and actions. Therefore we have to be deliberate in guiding our thoughts in the direction of God’s word. When Satan wants to get to you, he’ll often start with lies and condemnation whispered into your mind. You are to scan those lies and condemnation by asking if those words agree with Philippians chapter 4 and verse 8. If he tells you you can not prosper, excel or be fruitful. Ask yourself if this is the thought of God towards you. According to Phil4:8,  is it true?  Is it honest?  Is it just?  Is it pure?

PRAISE CHALLENGE

Psalm 67:7 KJV [7] God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. Welcome to the month of June. This month will be to you a month of Sweetness and Watered Garden., which depicts fruitfulness, productivity and harvest. Everything that has been bitter will turn to sweetness. Get ready for a change that comes with pleasant surprises . When the children of Israel left the Red Sea, they were in the wilderness for three days without water. They got to Marah, and the water there was bitter. The Lord shewed Moses a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet. Irrespective of how your journey in life has been, the Lord is set to do a new thing that will not make you remember the former things anymore. When the change of Joseph came after his bitter experience in the pit, in slavery and the prison, it was a promotion beyond his imagination. Everything will work together for your good. When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, it was like
