WAITING SEASON

Psalm 27:14 KJV

Wait on the Lord : be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

God is a God of times and seasons. Seasons are given to us to season us. You can’t pray yourself out of a season but you can choose how you are going to weather it. Every season must accomplish its purpose in due time.

There are different seasons, dry season and rainy season. No amount of fasting can shorten the seasons. You can’t get out of a season before it’s time. Be careful what you do when you are waiting. The right thing in the wrong season is a wrong thing.

When we are waiting, it sometimes look like we are wasting time, but it is not so. There is something that God wants to accomplish. The best thing is to understand the season you are in and get yourself equipped while you are in it. Learn all that you need to learn. Grow out of the season. Don’t rush to get out of it. Your waiting season is a time of preparation.  Ask God for direction.

Waiting season can take you through different stages of anger, frustration, rejection, sadness, joy, pain, anxiety and a lot more, depending on how you take it. It is not just about what you are waiting for but who you are waiting with and who you become. In your waiting season, God wants you to reflect His glory at the end of that season. You have to surrender to God and not have your own ideas. It’s God’s season not yours and He is willing to carry you through. It’s His plan not yours. His plan is to make all things beautiful in His time. Wait with hope and an assurance that He has never failed and He won’t fail this time. Don’t entertain fear. Don’t be passive in your waiting season. Engage yourself. Spend time in His Presence and in His Word. Wake up each day believing God will do a new thing and looking for Him to show up. He will surely show up. Be strengthened.

Psalm 40:1 KJV

I waited patiently for the Lord ; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
