SAND AND STONE

 SAND AND STONE

Ephesians 4:32 KJV

[32] And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

We will be looking at a few stories from now as the end of year is fast approaching and I pray it ministers to us.

Two friends were walking through the desert. They had an argument and one of the friends slapped the other in the face. But the one who got slapped didn’t say anything but wrote in the sand, “TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME.” They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After he recovered, he wrote on a stone, “MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.” The friend asked him, when I slapped you, you wrote it on the sand, now that I saved you, you wrote on the stone, why? The other friend replied, “When someone hurts you, write it on the sand where wind of forgiveness can blow it away. But when someone does good things for you, engrave it on a stone where no wind can ever erase it. A lot happens to us all the time, good or bad, however we need to be careful the memory we keep. Some memories are weight that slow us down or hinder us, while others are sprints that project us forward. Guard your heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life. As this year begins to wrap up, let us show love, be kind one to another and be tenderhearted. Let us also forgive those who have hurt us as God for Christ’s sake forgave us. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from us, with all malice so that we can allow God move heavily in our lives. There’s greatness ahead of us. We will have reasons to rejoice in rejoice in Jesus name. Shalom.
