BREAK OUT OF YOUR CONFINEMENT

1 Chronicles 4:10 KJV

[10] And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.


A man was named based on the condition at the time of his birth. He was called Jabez because his mother gave birth to him with sorrow. The man could not control where he was coming from, but he could control where he was heading to. He refused to settle for less. He didn’t believe in ‘what’s going to be is going to be’. He desperately wanted to break out of the confining circumstances and expectations he had been born into. It was beyond his power. So he cried out to God for blessing, for larger borders, and for the power and protection to go with them. And God said yes. Are you faced with something that is beyond you? Be assured that God who didn’t spare His only begotten Son, but gave Him up for us all, will also with Him freely give us all things. If you ask anything in His name, you will receive. 

If you have the desire for a change and pray like Jabez did, as this year is coming to an end and we are entering into the new year, your life will change. God will expand your borders. He will move your life in a direction where you can thrive. You will break limits and manifest the real you. A lot can still be achieved before this year comes to an end. Don’t be tired. Keep pressing forth. The greatness ahead of you requires your input. It’s time to reprogram things in your favor. You have what it takes. If Jabez did, you too can. Start now.

I woke on the 4th of June which was my birthday with a heart of thanksgiving. I honestly have so many reasons to thank God looking at the goodness of God in my life. It was a Sunday and the church celebrated me, coupled with the fact that the day before was our 28th wedding anniversary.   Challenges and dificulties are unavoidable. They come whether you are walking in God’s will or not. Sarah, Hannah and Elizabeth had to contend with barrenness. We all have to contend with one challenge or the other at every point in life.  When you are faced with difficult situations, do you give up or walk through? A very good example of a person that persevered is Abraham Lincoln. He failed some many times but he pushed past his failures and eventually became the 16th president of the United States. COUNT IT ALL JOY

  James 1:2-3 KJV - My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. Contrary to the normal human mindset, we are instructed to count our trials and temptations as joy. This is kingdom mindset, not the world’s. God’s plan is to use our trials to make us grow and to strengthen us.    This looks impossible to the natural man. That is why the scriptures the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. Those trials try our faith and produce patience in you. Faith is built as you hear the word of God, but trials reveal how much faith you have.
