PRAYING FOR THE PEACE OF OUR NATION

1 Timothy 2:1-2 KJV

[1] I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; [2] For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.



The Bible enjoins us to pray for all men, kings and those that are in authority. We’re also implored to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Someone is saying I don’t live in Jerusalem. Pray for the peace of the nation where you come from and the nation where you dwell. So many things are happening all over the world. Threats within and outside the nations, pandemic grossly affecting people’s health and finances, unstable economy, religious conflicts, political brouhaha, epileptic power supply, archaic educational curriculum and a lot more. So many people are entering into depression and insecurity is the order of the day. There is so much to contend with. We think we know the answers and clamor for what we regard as change or solution, which eventually compounds the problem. Human intellect has failed. The leaders chosen have become a case of the blind leading the blind. No matter what you have, if your environment is not safe, then you are not better than the person that doesn’t have. It is time to call on the One who knows the way and promises to lead us the way we should go and also teach us to profit. It’s time to call on the Prince of peace. Without Him, we can do nothing. We need help. The nations of the earth needs help. We have a Helper who is always willing to help us. He said we should call upon Him and He will answer. Every home should have an altar. Everyone ought to be an intercessor. Let us supplicate, pray, intercede and give thanks for all men, that is talking about nations. We need to enthrone God in all the nations. It is either God or nothing. It is only in the place of intercession that we can lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. God is counting on you. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

    A lot of Christian are busy chasing money instead of standing in the place of prayer to call on the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to deliver us and heal our Land.

    The says: if my people who are called by name will humble themselves and pray He will hear from Heaven, answer and heal our land.

    If we that call ourselves Christian know that what is ahead is more than what we bargained for, we will all go on our kneel to seek the Face of God.

    God will see HIS children through for all I know. IJN. Amen

I woke on the 4th of June which was my birthday with a heart of thanksgiving. I honestly have so many reasons to thank God looking at the goodness of God in my life. It was a Sunday and the church celebrated me, coupled with the fact that the day before was our 28th wedding anniversary.   Challenges and dificulties are unavoidable. They come whether you are walking in God’s will or not. Sarah, Hannah and Elizabeth had to contend with barrenness. We all have to contend with one challenge or the other at every point in life.  When you are faced with difficult situations, do you give up or walk through? A very good example of a person that persevered is Abraham Lincoln. He failed some many times but he pushed past his failures and eventually became the 16th president of the United States. COUNT IT ALL JOY

  James 1:2-3 KJV - My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. Contrary to the normal human mindset, we are instructed to count our trials and temptations as joy. This is kingdom mindset, not the world’s. God’s plan is to use our trials to make us grow and to strengthen us.    This looks impossible to the natural man.
