Hebrews 12:2 KJV

[2] Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.


When you feel like giving up.

When the fire seem to be going out.

When your energy seemed drained.

When you feel abandoned or forgotten. 

When you can’t take it anymore. 

When all the doors seem to be locked.

When help is not in view.

When it seems like there’s no way of escape. 

When time is running out.

When it is too heavy for you to bear.

When all the good you have done are forgotten and the spotlight is on your mistake.

When you are paid with evil for your good.

When there’s no strength to carry on.

When you are about to take a permanent decision in a temporary situation. 

When all hope seems lost.

When the road gets tough, the tough gets going. 


Don’t faint in the days of adversity. It is not the end of the world. Don’t give up. Hold on to God. He will visit you. Keep pushing. Like  a woman in travail, she has much sorrow, but when she pushes a little harder, she brings forth and does not remember the pain anymore for the joy of the new baby that came forth. You will bring forth and then there will be joy for you too. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. A turn around is about to happen. You are at the verge of a major breakthrough. There will be supernatural delivery in Jesus name.

I woke on the 4th of June which was my birthday with a heart of thanksgiving. I honestly have so many reasons to thank God looking at the goodness of God in my life. It was a Sunday and the church celebrated me, coupled with the fact that the day before was our 28th wedding anniversary. So it was double celebration characterized with so much singing and dancing, giving glory to God.  Usually my parents will call early to sing and pray, which was their custom for all their children and grandchildren, but they didn’t call me.   Challenges and dificulties are unavoidable. They come whether you are walking in God’s will or not. Sarah, Hannah and Elizabeth had to contend with barrenness. We all have to contend with one challenge or the other at every point in life.  When you are faced with difficult situations, do you give up or walk through? A very good example of a person that persevered is Abraham Lincoln. He failed some many times but he pushed past his failures and eventually became the 16th president of the United States. His name is known till date because he didn’t give up. Life is full of experiences that will make you swim or sink.    Don’t wait to learn to swim when the boat is at verge of capsizing. COUNT IT ALL JOY

  James 1:2-3 KJV - My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. Contrary to the normal human mindset, we are instructed to count our trials and temptations as joy. This is kingdom mindset, not the world’s. God’s plan is to use our trials to make us grow and to strengthen us.    This looks impossible to the natural man. That is why the scriptures the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
