THE LAST LAP

Psalm 65:11 KJV

[11] Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.


Welcome to the last month in year 2021. The year has been very eventful. So many ups and downs but the grace of God has been sufficient. Be expectant in the remaining days in this year. You will have reasons for creative thanksgiving. Be equipped with your sling of praise and thanksgiving. The Lord will use it to multiply you and you will not be few. He will also glorify you, you will not be small. The God that brought you this far will not jettison you. He didn’t leave the Children of Israel when they got to the Red Sea. He will not leave you stranded. He used David’s sling to bring down Goliath. The Lord will use your sling of praise to bring down every opposition before you in Jesus name. You may not see rain or wind, but be assured that the valleys will be filled. There will be supernatural delivery of your expectation. The God that turned again the captivity of Zion will give you testimony that looks like a dream. It wasn’t the the first time He turned it, that’s why the word again appeared in that scripture. God will visit you again beyond what He did before. You will rejoice triumphantly and experience a change of story and paradigm shift. The end of this year will be better than the beginning thereof in Jesus. As we continue the journey to the end of the year and into the new year, let it be settled in your heart that the Lord will crown your year with goodness and His paths will drop fatness for you. The enemy will not catch us unawares in Jesus name. The Lord keeps you and all that is yours.

I woke on the 4th of June which was my birthday with a heart of thanksgiving. I honestly have so many reasons to thank God looking at the goodness of God in my life. It was a Sunday and the church celebrated me, coupled with the fact that the day before was our 28th wedding anniversary. So it was double celebration characterized with so much singing and dancing, giving glory to God.  Usually my parents will call early to sing and pray, which was their custom for all their children and grandchildren, but they didn’t call me. I assumed it was because it was a Sunday and they knew we will be getting ready for church.  After service I called to ask why they didn’t call me, my mom said I should put that aside. They prayed for me. I spoke with my mom thrice that day, the last was 6pm when she called saying she will be going to buy something.   Challenges and dificulties are unavoidable. They come whether you are walking in God’s will or not. Sarah, Hannah and Elizabeth had to contend with barrenness. We all have to contend with one challenge or the other at every point in life.  When you are faced with difficult situations, do you give up or walk through? A very good example of a person that persevered is Abraham Lincoln. He failed some many times but he pushed past his failures and eventually became the 16th president of the United States. His name is known till date because he didn’t give up. Life is full of experiences that will make you swim or sink.    Don’t wait to learn to swim when the boat is at verge of capsizing. God is always willing to walk us through every difficult situation. Build a strong relationship with God before crises.  Faith believes what it can’t see which is contrary to the world standard. COUNT IT ALL JOY

  James 1:2-3 KJV - My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. Contrary to the normal human mindset, we are instructed to count our trials and temptations as joy. This is kingdom mindset, not the world’s. God’s plan is to use our trials to make us grow and to strengthen us.    This looks impossible to the natural man. That is why the scriptures the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. Those trials try our faith and produce patience in you. Faith is built as you hear the word of God, but trials reveal how much faith you have.
