BECOMING A BETTER YOU (3)

BECOMING A BETTER YOU (3)

During the past week, we lost a father in the faith in the person of Apostle Alfie Fabe in Cape Town, South Africa. One common thing people talked about him was, he left you better than he met you. A man like David, who took young and hopeless people and invested in them. Today, these men and women are living proofs of his apostolic grace. He always added value everywhere he went. He had a father’s heart and held relationships in high esteem. He loved to connect people. He was never afraid of introducing people to his network.

That brings me to my discussion today. You are blessed to be a blessing. How much of a blessing are you? Not everyone is confident to allow others meet their contacts/network (especially those they consider a blessing to them) or are willing to introduce people to opportunities that will improve them. It’s just a nature in some people not to share what they have. They feel threatened and prefer to hold back. It may be because of past experience or it’s their nature.

Whichever way, it is not only about what happened or the excuse behind not opening your network to others, it speaks volume about you as an individual. Nothing must change the fact that you are meant to be a blessing anywhere you find yourself.

Nobody is perfect, that is why pencils have eraser. God wants you to take the blessings you have received and share them with others who you encounter, especially those who are in need of it. What you make happen for others, God will make happen for you.

In 1 Thessalonians 5:15 Apostle Paul writes, not to pay back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else. If we are not doing this, it shows clearly that we need to work more on ourselves. Anyone who is not getting better can not better the lot of others. You can’t give what you don’t have. When we improve the lives of others, ours enjoy same.

Be determined to be more of a blessing, that way you attract more blessings.

Shalom
