OBEDIENCE 


Job 36:11 KJV

[11] If they obey and serve him , they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. 


Walking with God and staying relevant in the Kingdom of God is a function of Obedience. Obedience means compliance with an order, request or law, or submission to another's authority.  It is adhering strictly to instructions with a perfect heart. If we must have the privilege of being used by God to affect other lives, if His Word must flow unhindered through us, we must come to Him at His own terms not ours.

The Kingdom of God is about following fully as Caleb did and it has a reward attached to it. Numbers 14:24 KJV

[24] But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.

You can't walk with God without absolute obedience. No parent likes to be disobeyed by their children because it incurs wrath. Prophet Samuel told King Saul that to obey is better than sacrifice and to hearken than the fat of ram. The destination may not be too clear to you but when you agree to follow the Master, it is a step of unconditional surrender in faith. Luke 9:62 KJV

[62] And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. 

Obedience requires total conviction and you must be ready to deal with every form of distraction. Moses struck the rock instead of speaking. May we not miss out on the details of God’s word. In this new year, let us allow God lead us in His own way to Plenty and New territories that He has promised and be willing to obey so that you can get the good in this year. You can’t do partial obedience with God. Your obedience must be full and so will your testimony be full in Jesus name.

    Obedience is very important , without it in our lives ,we can't go far with God ,we cannot even be used by him

I woke on the 4th of June which was my birthday with a heart of thanksgiving. I honestly have so many reasons to thank God looking at the goodness of God in my life. It was a Sunday and the church celebrated me, coupled with the fact that the day before was our 28th wedding anniversary.   Challenges and dificulties are unavoidable. They come whether you are walking in God’s will or not. Sarah, Hannah and Elizabeth had to contend with barrenness. We all have to contend with one challenge or the other at every point in life.  When you are faced with difficult situations, do you give up or walk through? A very good example of a person that persevered is Abraham Lincoln. He failed some many times but he pushed past his failures and eventually became the 16th president of the United States. His name is known till date because he didn’t give up. Life is full of experiences that will make you swim or sink.    Don’t wait to learn to swim when the boat is at verge of capsizing. COUNT IT ALL JOY

  James 1:2-3 KJV - My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. Contrary to the normal human mindset, we are instructed to count our trials and temptations as joy. This is kingdom mindset, not the world’s. God’s plan is to use our trials to make us grow and to strengthen us.    This looks impossible to the natural man.
