LIVING EPISTLES

Acts 4:13 KJV

[13] Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

The people saw some similarities in the disciples and Jesus. They could trace them to Jesus by what they saw in them.  People want to read us as living epistles before they read the Bible. They want to see Christ in us. How much do we care and love? As ambassadors of Christ are we Christlike? Do we have the mind of Christ? When we are faced with situations do we ask ourselves, what would Jesus have done? As the light of the world, we are to illuminate our world by making the difference. We should not be known as Christians by our names or titles but by our acts. As the salt of the earth, we are to give taste where ever we find ourselves. We are not called to live double standards. Our words as Christians should our bond. What we say must not be different from what we do. We're not supposed to compromise our faith. A lot of people are Christians in the church but not in the world. We are in this world but we are not of this world. Our fruits like the disciples, should say who we are. What fruits are we bearing? Do we forgive? Do we give? Are we faithful custodians of all that is in our care? We don't own anything. Ownership belongs to God. Time is running out. Now is the time to do proper evaluation and make amends. We're to watch each others back, not to pull one another down. We're to complement one another not to compete with one another. Remember that we will give account. This is an urgent call to us as Christians to check ourselves and really work out our salvation with fear and trembling. As we pay attention to our call, our focus must be on the Caller. No man can help God. He is our Helper.

2 Timothy 2:4 KJV

[4] No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

1 Corinthians 10:12 KJV

[12] Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

May we not miss our place in destiny in Jesus name.
