THE PRICE OF DECISION

Psalm 32:8 KJV

[8] I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.


Everyday we are faced with numerous choices. We are at liberty to choose what we desire. Decision is something that we all make intentionally and sometimes without a thought as regards major issues as well as minor issues. The dictionary defines decision as a conclusion or resolution reached after consideration. Nearly everything we do in life requires us to decide but do we give due consideration before making our choices? We make uncountable decisions in a day. It is imperative to know that we bear the consequences of our decisions and it can also affect others. Our decisions reflect our values. The prodigal son took a decision to explore. It wasn’t favorable for him. He bore the consequence and made a choice to return home. We are where we are today because of the decisions we made in time past. And the decision we make today will impact on our future. We can’t afford to make a permanent decision in a temporary situation.

What informs your decision?

Do you take decisions under pressure?

Do you consider warning signs?

Do you weigh the consequences of your decision?

Will your decision bring glory to God?

Consider the following in making decisions;

Pray and be patient 

Be informed and identify alternatives

Be willing to subject your will to God’s will 

Get godly counsel if need be

Ensure your decision brings glory to God.

May the Lord help us to make the right choices.

OVERCOMING FEAR Fear is a trick of the enemy to keep you oppressed, suppressed and depressed. You are probably afraid because of what you have seen or heard, something you believe you can’t handle. Have you ever asked yourself, why am I afraid? Assuming you have a project to deliver    and you don’t have the capital to execute it before the dateline, you get apprehensive and lose your sleep because a lifetime opportunity is about to slip off. But when you know a Bank will handle it, you go to sleep because your fear is taken care of. You have a Father who is not only greater than the Bank but owns the whole world (Psalm 24:1) and gives you access to Himself 24/7. He’s always ready to carry your burden if you bring them to Him. MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR RELATIONSHIPS We are all blessed one way or the other. I see relationship as one of those blessedness. It’s important to God so it is very important to me. Some people will come your way for a short period and some for long periods almost a life time. When they go down memory lane in another ten years, would they be grateful they met you or otherwise? It is possible to be good and do a wrong thing that wipes out the good due to the extent of hurt it brings. I know there are people that you’re nice to that will forget and hold on to little wrong. There’s nothing you can do about that, just be good. Forgive, forgive and forgive. Applaud people when you can. Encourage them, help them, inspire them, appreciate them, love them, check up on them.
