DEALING WITH CHARACTER FLAWS

John 15:5 KJV

[5] I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.


Do you know that no man is perfect? Everyone you see and respect has something they need to work on. No one is self sufficient. We’re made to be totally dependent on God. We can of ourselves do nothing. That is why we are referred to as branches and Jesus, the vine. We draw strength from Him. It is not only perfect people that identifies with Jesus. They are imperfect people that are willing to be made by Him. The same way He said to the fishermen, follow me and I will make you fishers of men, He’s willing to make us who He wants us to be. We’re all work in progress in the hands of God but we have to be willing to allow ourselves to be molded so that we can be fit for the Master’s use. You may have issues with anger, stubbornness, pride, lying, cheating, jealousy, masturbation, greed e.t.c, it is not a criteria not to be used or discarded by the Lord. When we abide in Him and He abides in us, we become like Him. When a leaf attaches itself  to soap, the leaf becomes soap. People took knowledge of the disciples that they had been with Jesus based on what they saw in them. As we stay with Him, let us work on our limitations. Let every man work out his salvation with fear and trembling. There is nothing hidden before the Lord and there is nothing the Lord can not do. Anointing, position or prosperity can not cover character flaws. Time does not take care of them either, they need to be deliberately worked on. His grace is available to help us as we stay close to Him and to His Word. When a branch is detached from the vine, it still looks fresh and good but it’s only a matter of time before it dries up. Ensure you stay connected to Jesus, that way you will be productive and also fulfill your divine purpose. You will bear much fruit in Jesus name.

OVERCOMING FEAR Fear is a trick of the enemy to keep you oppressed, suppressed and depressed. You are probably afraid because of what you have seen or heard, something you believe you can’t handle. Have you ever asked yourself, why am I afraid? Assuming you have a project to deliver    and you don’t have the capital to execute it before the dateline, you get apprehensive and lose your sleep because a lifetime opportunity is about to slip off. But when you know a Bank will handle it, you go to sleep because your fear is taken care of. You have a Father who is not only greater than the Bank but owns the whole world (Psalm 24:1) and gives you access to Himself 24/7. He’s always ready to carry your burden if you bring them to Him. MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR RELATIONSHIPS We are all blessed one way or the other. I see relationship as one of those blessedness. It’s important to God so it is very important to me. Some people will come your way for a short period and some for long periods almost a life time. When they go down memory lane in another ten years, would they be grateful they met you or otherwise? It is possible to be good and do a wrong thing that wipes out the good due to the extent of hurt it brings. I know there are people that you’re nice to that will forget and hold on to little wrong. There’s nothing you can do about that, just be good. Forgive, forgive and forgive. Applaud people when you can. Encourage them, help them, inspire them, appreciate them, love them, check up on them. These things have a way of coming back to you cos they are seeds. Relationships are resources, you may need to draw from, some time or maybe your children.
