TAKING STOCK IN FIRST HALF OF THE YEAR

1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV [18] In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. We thank the Lord for bringing us to the end of the first half of the year 2021. A whole lot has happened this year. So much uncertainty and insecurity, yet the Lord has been gracious to us. If you have lost one thing, God is the reason for not losing everything. Some times we cry we have no shoes, while there are people without feet. If we can not think, we can not thank God . People of God we have reasons to be glad irrespective of what we are faced with. This month may come to an end, the first half of the year may come to an end, the word the Lord has given you has no end. It doesn’t expire. God is never late. God has given you life because He is not done with you. He still has a plan for you. Look at the things that God has done for you in this first half. Count your blessings one by one and come to Him with a heart of thanksgiving, knowing if He did those ones, He...

CELEBRATING FATHERS

Psalm 103:13 KJV [13] Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. Father’s Day is a time set aside to honor and appreciate fathers and father figure in our lives and their influence. The third Sunday in June has been set aside every year for this celebration. Fathers give so much sacrifice but are not usually appreciated the way they should. Honoring our fathers is a command with promise. A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society. In view of this I choose to celebrate fathers, physical and spiritual in this write up. A father’s quality reflects God’s character. I want us to look at the qualities of great fathers.  -A great father knows he must sacrifice his own comfort for his fatherly duties. -A father’s love can be tough but he means well. -A great father knows that mistake is part of learning but refuses constant mistakes that is a sign of irresponsibility  -A great...

THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD

John 8:29 KJV [29] And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. Being in the presence of the Lord is having access to the realm of the supernatural, where all things are possible. We need the presence of the Lord more than ever before. There’s so much unrest and invasion in many nations of the world. The wisdom of man has failed and is still failing. It is only the presence of the Lord that can make the difference and the necessary changes that we need. The ministry of Jesus was successful because His Father did not leave Him. God is omnipresent, He is everywhere but we must desire His manifest presence in our lives. Joseph was in a foreign land as a slave, yet the presence of the Lord was with Him and made all that he did to prosper. His master also acknowledged the presence of God in his life. We all need the presence of the Lord such that unbelievers will agree the the presence of Hod in our lives. The presence of t...

STAY STEADFAST

James 1:12 KJV [12] Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. Welcome to the month of June. This month will be to us a month of open doors and divine opportunities in Jesus name. It’s always a special month to me as it is my 26th wedding anniversary on the 3rd and my 51st birthday on the 4th.    It has not been a very smooth ride but I’m grateful to God that in the midst of storms, He always showed up. He didn’t promise that there won’t be issues we can’t handle but He promised to show up and when He does, He calms the storm. There will always be ups and downs but His grace is always sufficient. Don’t give up, there’s no mountain that He cannot move. God is at work. The Lord will fight for you. He will perfect all that concerns you. The journey ahead is still far, your strength will not abate and your faith will not fail. Hold on tenaciously to the pillar that holds...

PLACING THINGS IN THE RIGHT PERSPECTIVE

Philippians 4:6 KJV [6] Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. In continuation of the write up last week, I feel so impressed in my spirit to continue where i stopped. We looked at the fact that the relevance and out come of things depends on whose hands it is. It is important to know how to place things in the right place, it makes things easier when we put things where they should be and makes one more organized and effective. It allows you spend less time looking for items. When you know where you have kept something, you just go there to pick it up and you’ll be at rest knowing it’s in a safe place. Items dropped in the wrong place over time eventually become a big task clearing or cleaning up. Same thing goes for issues we are faced with. Where we place issues determine a lot in our lives, if not we find ourselves under pressure, restless and unable to sleep. Learn to lay aside anything that...

WHOSE HAND IS IT IN?

1 Peter 5:7 KJV [7] Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. I listened to something that blessed me on the importance of where we place things and I thought to share it. If you take a basket ball and put it in my hands, it’s worth a little but if you put it in the hands of a professional like LeBron James it’s worth millions. If you take a gulf club and put it in my hands, it’s worth will just be the selling price but if you put it in the hands of Tiger Woods, it is worth several million dollars. It depends on whose hands it is in. A rod in my hands may just be something to play around with but in the hands of Moses, it parted the Red Sea. A sling shot in my hand becomes something to toy with but in the hands of David, it slayed Goliath.    Five loaves and two fish will probably just be a meal for few. Putting it in the hands of Jesus, it fed thousands and still had twelve baskets left over. Nails fastened to my hands on a wood will lead to loss of blood, if not...

PRAYING FOR THE PEACE OF OUR NATION

1 Timothy 2:1-2 KJV [1] I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; [2] For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. The Bible enjoins us to pray for all men, kings and those that are in authority. We’re also implored to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Someone is saying I don’t live in Jerusalem. Pray for the peace of the nation where you come from and the nation where you dwell. So many things are happening all over the world. Threats within and outside the nations, pandemic grossly affecting people’s health and finances, unstable economy, religious conflicts, political brouhaha, epileptic power supply, archaic educational curriculum and a lot more. So many people are entering into depression and insecurity is the order of the day. There is so much to contend with. We think we know the answers and clamor for what we regard as change ...

DON’T LOSE HOPE- Hear their story

Jeremiah 32:27 KJV [27] Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for    me? There’s nothing too difficult or hard for God to do. What God can not do does not exist. This write up is dedicated to the Oyesusis and the act of God in their lives and to everyone out there trusting God for miracle. This is to encourage you that your faith should not fail and you should not faint in the days of adversity. These ones are example of believers. fervent christians serving the Lord with all they have in and out of season, yet they had been waiting on the Lord for children for about nine years. God did not promise us that we will be exempted from affliction because we serve Him but He promised that He will deliver us from them all. This couple had gone through thick and thin, different stages of challenges. Read a brief description of their journey below;  We have been married for 9 years without children. We prayed and fasted but nothing was happened. ...

PRAYER REVOLUTION 180

Luke 18:1 KJV [1] And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; The above scripture says men should pray always, constantly, every time, and not to faint or be tired/weary. After this injunction, we were told of a judge who neither feared God nor regarded man but had to avenge a widow because he didn’t want her to weary him with her continual coming. We also do that with our kids when they keep disturbing with their request. We try to get them off our back so we give them what they want, some times reluctantly all in a bid to allow us concentrate on other important matters. If human beings can do this, God who is just will do much more. Note that the widow was not tired of going back to the judge. She was determined to get justice. A lot of people have desires but are not desperate or determined to do all it takes to get that desire. While some are determined, they get weary along the way. If we are willing to pray consistently, there’s ...
