BORN TO TRIUMPH

2 Corinthians 2:14 KJV

[14] Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.


Triumph is defined as great victory and achievement which always results in jubilation.  It is also an act of defeating an enemy or opponent in a battle, game or other competition. Everyone at one point or the other is faced with some issues that can be overwhelming. Before you have victory, you must have been faced with a challenge, obstruction or hindrance. Life is a battle field. The battles can be spiritual, marital, mental, financial or physical. There is no life without trouble, but the end result is assuredly triumphant when God is with you.

Psalm 34:19 KJV

[19] Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

There won’t be a trouble free life but there will be victory filled life. Three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to worship king Nebuchadnezzar’s golden image and they had to bear the consequence of being thrown into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. The fire slew the men that threw them in but didn’t have any impact on them because of the presence of God that was with them. Isaiah 43:2 KJV

[2] When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. Irrespective of what you are faced with, be equipped with the knowledge and assurance that you will triumph. This can only happen by securing the presence of God. If God be for you, nothing can overcome you. See the end of the matter from the beginning. Jesus for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame. Whatever challenge that is before you will be a walkover and it will surely end in praise.

I woke on the 4th of June which was my birthday with a heart of thanksgiving. I honestly have so many reasons to thank God looking at the goodness of God in my life. It was a Sunday and the church celebrated me, coupled with the fact that the day before was our 28th wedding anniversary.   Challenges and dificulties are unavoidable. They come whether you are walking in God’s will or not. Sarah, Hannah and Elizabeth had to contend with barrenness. We all have to contend with one challenge or the other at every point in life.  When you are faced with difficult situations, do you give up or walk through? A very good example of a person that persevered is Abraham Lincoln. He failed some many times but he pushed past his failures and eventually became the 16th president of the United States. His name is known till date because he didn’t give up. Life is full of experiences that will make you swim or sink.    Don’t wait to learn to swim when the boat is at verge of capsizing. COUNT IT ALL JOY

  James 1:2-3 KJV - My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. Contrary to the normal human mindset, we are instructed to count our trials and temptations as joy. This is kingdom mindset, not the world’s. God’s plan is to use our trials to make us grow and to strengthen us.    This looks impossible to the natural man.
