GIVING

John 3:16 KJV [16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Giving means  to present voluntarily and without expecting compensation . Giving is a function of stewardship. God owns everything because He is the Creator, Maker and Giver of all things , so when we give, we are merely giving back a portion of what belongs to God. Our God is a giving God. Giving is one of his attributes. People give of their time, talents, and finances, not out of a sense of duty or in anticipation of a promised blessing, but out of a grateful life given by a generous God Give Sacrificially Jesus said the widow’s offering in Mk12:41-44 was    more, compared to those that gave fat offering because it amounted to all she had. There is a great difference between the contribution of the rich and the commitment of the poor widow. She did not hold back all she had to survive but believed that God will...

GREATNESS IN SMALL THINGS

Job 8:7 KJV [7] Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase. In the Gospel of Matthew, reference is made to the mustard seed in a parable. It is said that the Kingdom of God is   like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field; which indeed is smaller than all seeds but when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches. The greatness of the mustard seed is not dependent on the size. It is a small seed that carries the potential of greatness on the condition that it is sown. The potential is useless if nothing is done with the seed. Greatness is not automatic. It must be harnessed. Every seed that is sown births the potential harvest in it. If it is not sown, it can’t bring forth harvest.  Greatness is always hidden in small/little things. It is usually concealed. This is one of the hidden wisdom of God. Jesus was given birth to in a manger. Lo...

MIND YOUR ASSOCIATION

Proverbs 24:6 KJV [6] For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety. Mind your association this year. Your association can enable you or disable you. It determines how far you go in life. Some people around you look like enablers but they only help you to be crippled and to stay down. They politely make you feel small and make light of your little achievements They enjoy the fact that what they say or do make you think little of yourself. It’s just to set you back.  Be careful who you pay attention to. Evil communication corrupts good manners. Be careful who you spend time with. When a leaf stays long on soap, it becomes soap. You become like those you spend time with. You are an average of the five people you spend time with. Be intentional about your association this year so that you don’t journey with Jonah who rocked the ship and put everyone’s life in jeopardy.  I will conclude this article with a beautiful explanation on Ass...

LET GOD DO IT THIS YEAR

Psalm 121:1-2 KJV [1] I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. [2] My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. Welcome to year 2022 our year of Strategic Establishment and Marvelous Help. This year you will enjoy God’s help more than in times past. The story of a little boy that went for shopping with the dad comes to mind. The boy and the dad were leaving the store where they went shopping, the owner of the store told the boy to take a hand full of sweets free, the boy stood there looking at the father. The owner of the store repeated the offer, the boy still stood there looking at his dad. The dad reached into the candy jar and took a hand full of sweets and gave it to his son. His dad asked him why he didn’t take the sweets, he said because I know your hand is bigger than mine. Like this little boy, look to your Heavenly Father this year for help. That boy could have helped himself but he had the understanding that what he will get will be ...

WRAPPING UP THE YEAR

Psalm 65:11 KJV [11] Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness. As we get engrossed in rounding off the year and entering a new year, making out plans for the new year on what we want to achieve, please ensure that you include some things that are extremely important . The additional degrees, getting more money, expanding your frontiers are all good projects, but there’s more to life than all these. Please consider the following; -Ensure that knowing God more is a priority in your life. Those that know their God shall be strong and do exploits. -Be selfless and not selfish. As you think of yourself, think of being a blessing to others. When you build men, you can’t determine what men can do and how God can repay you. In every seed is a potential for great harvest. It is more blessed to give than to receive. -Enhance your relationships. Relationship is currency. Don’t slam the doors on people, you may need to reopen that door. Do unto others as you want others...

BREAK OUT OF YOUR CONFINEMENT

1 Chronicles 4:10 KJV [10] And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested. A man was named based on the condition at the time of his birth. He was called Jabez because his mother gave birth to him with sorrow. The man could not control where he was coming from, but he could control where he was heading to. He refused to settle for less. He didn’t believe in ‘what’s going to be is going to be’. He desperately wanted to break out of the confining circumstances and expectations he had been born into. It was beyond his power. So he cried out to God for blessing, for larger borders, and for the power and protection to go with them. And God said yes. Are you faced with something that is beyond you? Be assured that God who didn’t spare His only begotten Son, but gave Him up for us all...

THE REAL YOU

Philippians 4:13 KJV [13] I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. As we begin to wrap up this year and prepare to enter into the new year, there are a few things that we should look into; -Don’t let what stopped or hindered you so far continue to hold you bound. Break free and forge ahead. Wade through obstruction.  -Don’t swim against the tides. Choose your direction by the help of the Holy Spirit.  -Don’t lose focus of your destination. Find a way to get there. Be determined. -No matter what happened, get ready to spring back into shape. Make something out of nothing.  -Don’t derive your value as a survivor but as a driver. Take full responsibility for your life. Be the driver behind the wheel of your life. -Be positive. Shape your world with your word. Speak words of affirmation. Speak what you want to see if you don’t like what you are seeing.  -Get curious. The possibilities are always there. Find out something new about yourself. Don’t focus ...

THE LAST LAP

Psalm 65:11 KJV [11] Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness. Welcome to the last month in year 2021. The year has been very eventful. So many ups and downs but the grace of God has been sufficient. Be expectant in the remaining days in this year. You will have reasons for creative thanksgiving. Be equipped with your sling of praise and thanksgiving. The Lord will use it to multiply you and you will not be few. He will also glorify you, you will not be small. The God that brought you this far will not jettison you. He didn’t leave the Children of Israel when they got to the Red Sea. He will not leave you stranded. He used David’s sling to bring down Goliath. The Lord will use your sling of praise to bring down every opposition before you in Jesus name. You may not see rain or wind, but be assured that the valleys will be filled. There will be supernatural delivery of your expectation. The God that turned again the captivity of Zion will give you testimony t...

CLOSE YOUR EYES TO FAULTS

Luke 18:9 KJV [9] And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: Have you noticed that emojis with smiley faces have their eyes closed? When you have your eyes closed, you don’t notice some things. Learn to overlook things. Don’t take things too seriously. Make excuses for people rather than judging them. What you regard as fault may not necessarily be. Some times you may not have the details before jumping to conclusions. When the Apostles began to speak in new tongues on the day of Pentecost, some people mocked them that they were filled with new wine. When you overemphasize people’s fault, it makes yours more visible. No one is perfect. We are all work in progress in the hands of God. The same person whose fault you focus on, also has strength. Choose to pay attention to the positive than the negative. Begin to see a half filled cup as half full rather than half empty. It’s a good way to begin to work on ourselves. W...
