LIVING EPISTLES

Acts  4:13  KJV [13] Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. The people saw some similarities in the disciples and Jesus. They could trace them to Jesus by what they saw in them.  People want to read us as living epistles before they read the Bible. They want to see Christ in us. How much do we care and love? As ambassadors of Christ are we Christlike? Do we have the mind of Christ? When we are faced with situations do we ask ourselves, what would Jesus have done? As the light of the world, we are to illuminate our world by making the difference. We should not be known as Christians by our names or titles but by our acts. As the salt of the earth, we are to give taste where ever we find ourselves. We are not called to live double standards. Our words as Christians should our bond. What we say must not be different from what we ...

THE PRICE OF DECISION

Psalm 32:8 KJV [8] I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. Everyday we are faced with numerous choices. We are at liberty to choose what we desire. Decision is something that we all make intentionally and sometimes without a thought as regards major issues as well as minor issues. The dictionary defines decision as a conclusion or resolution reached after consideration. Nearly everything we do in life requires us to decide but do we give due consideration before making our choices? We make uncountable decisions in a day. It is imperative to know that we bear the consequences of our decisions and it can also affect others. Our decisions reflect our values. The prodigal son took a decision to explore. It wasn’t favorable for him. He bore the consequence and made a choice to return home. We are where we are today because of the decisions we made in time past. And the decision we make today will impact on our future. We can’t aff...

CHANGING THE NORM 3

Genesis 18:11 KJV [11] Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. One of the forces that aids in changing the norm is the supernatural. The supernatural overrides the natural and breaks protocol. It is almost impossible in science for a woman to be pregnant when she has entered menopause. The Bible records in the above scripture that it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women because she had reached menopause. Yet by the power of the supernatural, God made it happen for her. God will turn again your captivity and make things happen for you in Jesus name. A woman of 90 years was told she was going to experience the joy of motherhood. She laughed because in the natural sense it looked impossible. No one had heard or seen such a thing. The husband was an hundred years of age. With men it may be impossible but not with God, for with God all things are possible. It is not by power nor might but by the Spirit o...

CHANGING THE NORM 2

CHANGING THE NORM 2 The daughters of Zelophehad went to Moses in Numbers 27 to ask for their possession even though it wasn’t the custom in Israel to will anything to daughters since their father had no son. That age long tradition could have stopped them as it had stopped some other women in times past. These ladies knew what was ahead but they were determined to take a chance. Those who don’t take a chance don’t get ahead. Are you ready and willing to take a chance in this new year? Moses took it to God and God said the daughters of Zelophehad spoke right and should surely be given their possession. And because they dared made that move, it became a law in Israel that if a man dies and has no sin, his inheritance should pass to his daughter. It’s your turn to make history. What if they didn’t ask? Is any what if coming to your mind now? Are you inspired by the story of these ladies to go after what life is depriving you of, what you are entitled to or what is not usually the no...

CHANGING THE NORM (1)

CHANGING THE NORM (1) Genesis 26:12 KJV [12] Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. At the beginning of the year, people make new year resolutions. Things they want to start doing or improve on, new territories they want to conquer and so on. Quite a number of people don’t follow through on this plan. They forget the book where it is written. Here we are in the first month of the year. Let it register in your heart that anything is achievable. If you can conceive it, you can achieve it. Make this year an improvement on other years. Be ready to do more this year because you will have more this year. Isaac sowed in a time of famine, when people will naturally hold back and he got a pleasant surprise. Be determined to make a difference. Be guided by the Holy Spirit. Be ready to increase your knowledge in various things including being technologically inclined because we are in the Information Age. It’s no longer business as u...

OBEDIENCE

OBEDIENCE  Job 36:11 KJV [11] If they obey and serve him , they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.  Walking with God and staying relevant in the Kingdom of God is a function of Obedience.  Obedience means compliance with an order, request or law, or submission to another's authority.  It is adhering strictly to instructions with a perfect heart. If we must have the privilege of being used by God to affect other lives, if His Word must flow unhindered through us, we must come to Him at His own terms not ours. The Kingdom of God is about following fully as Caleb did and it has a reward attached to it. Numbers 14:24 KJV [24] But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it. You can't walk with God without absolute obedience. No parent likes to be disobeyed by their children because it incurs wrath. Prophet Samuel ...

YEAR OF PLENTY, TAKING NEW TERRITORIES

YEAR OF PLENTY, TAKING NEW TERRITORIES  Joel 2:26 KJV [26] And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed. Welcome to year 2021, our year of Plenty, taking New Territories. This is a very promising year but not without it’s own challenges. We must be ready to make the most of it. Let us begin the year by challenging ourselves to do more and also do things differently. Most times we ask God to do things for us. Can we choose to do things for God more than we have ever done? When a farmer wants plenty harvest, he sows more seed. What are you willing to give or do for plenty this year? God gave us His only begotten Son and He’s reaping a harvest of souls consistently. This is the year of investment. Investing time, money and efforts will yield great dividends this year. Get ready to enter new territories and take over. God is very territorial. That’s why He put us here to...

GETTING READY FOR THE NEW

GETTING READY FOR THE NEW Tomorrow marks the end of year 2020. It’s been a year of experiences different from other years but in everything we give God thanks because this is His will concerning us. As we appreciate God for this eventful year and cross over to a new year, year 2021 our year of Plenty, Taking New Territories, these thoughts resonates in me; It’s time to get over fear by doing what you’re afraid of. Don’t be a victim. Victims blame, Victors learn. Victors figure out what went wrong and rearrange their life so that it never happens again. Otherwise life will just keep throwing the very same lesson at you until you ‘get it.’  Be a fast learner and do more of heart learning. Heart learning is transformational learning while head learning is informational learning. It’s time for total transformation. Rom12:1-2 See the future, the new territories you are about to take with the eyes of faith. Don’t let the past haunt or limit you. Nobody puts a new wine in an old wine skin...

NEW BEGINNINGS

NEW BEGINNINGS  Many nations have entered into the second phase of the lockdown due to the rise in the pandemic. However don’t allow your heart to be troubled. When you do what you can, trust God to do what only Him can do. There are a few things I will want you to consider as the year runs to an end and we look forward to a new year; -Don’t be afraid. God has not given you the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Fear tolerated is faith contaminated. Don’t allow what you see or hear create fear in you. Believe only the report of the Lord. Your future is bright. -Separate yourself from distractions so that you can be in tune with God to know what next especially His thoughts for the new year. Genesis 13:14 KJV [14] And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: -Have a plan. Planning is the process of thinking about th...
