God blesses what the diligent does and gives him an advantage, irrespective of the role he occupies, whether a cleaner or a director. David was a diligent shepherd boy who gave his best discharging his assignment. The qualities he possessed as a shepherd boy was what he exhibited as a king when his promotion came. He paid attention to everything and did his work faithfully. He didn’t take anything for granted. He didn’t overlook the bear and the lion that took a lamb out of the flock. Proverbs 22:29 KJV [29] Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. Diligence is having or showing care and conscientiousness in one’s work or duties. Diligence is what God requires from us in our work with Him, our homes, businesses, careers and every aspect of our lives. God told Adam to till the ground. He gives everyone an assignment and expects us to deliver using the gifts and talents given to us. The parable of talents shows that we are to use of our gifts to make profit for our Master and not make excuses. Noah, Joseph and Daniel are examples of those who were diligent and their diligence brought them to the place of promotion. This is because the hand of the diligent will always bear rule. Everything we do in life begins with a thought process. We are made to think, process and envision things. Our thoughts can determine their reality. It is possible to get what you focus on.
